If your banking history has had a few ups and downs, then you may benefit from our second chance checking account, also known as our 180 Checking account. Designed to help you rebuild and repair your banking history, 180 Checking at ACU of Texas is easy to open and utilize.
For just a $10 monthly fee, 180 Checking comes with a variety of benefits that you may think wouldn’t come with a second chance checking account. For example, you have access to unlimited check writing, a debit card, and $100 in Courtesy Pay, which is available 30 days after you open your account.
To open a 180 Checking account, you only need to make a minimum opening deposit of $25. After the account is open, there isn’t a minimum balance requirement. You can start using your account without any restrictions.
If your banking history has seen better days because of negative balances or over-withdrawals, 180 Checking will help you get back on track by helping you rebuild a better banking history.
Dormant Account Notice: If your account has had no activity in the last year and you have not contacted the credit union, your account becomes dormant. After three years of dormancy, your account becomes abandoned, and the funds in the account will be sent to the State Treasury.
